October is National Homemade Cookie Month

Here is one of our favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes.

  • 2 ¼ C. all-purpose flour
  • Tsp of baking soda
  • Tsp of salt
  • 1 C (2 sticks of margarine softened)
  • 1 ¾ C. (11.5oz chocolate morsels)
  • ¾ C. granulated sugar
  • ¾ C. packed brown sugar
  • Tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 C. nuts (optional)

Preheat oven 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowel. Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then add in flour mixture. Add in vanilla and nuts. Drop onto ungreased baking sheet and cook for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown. Remove to wire rack to cool.
